When I became plant centered I still missed certain elements of meat. The smokiness, textures, and certain sauces that paired well.
I had to learn about these ingredients and truly understand what it was I was missing. It wasn’t the actual meat itself, but a flavor profile that is easily replicated and in my opinion, more complex when you take animal protein out of the mix.
So On eof my favourtie recipe’s ive made many times is my lentil loaf! Its super delicious and you can pair it with your favourite bbq sauce, gravy, marinara, or even a pesto works too!
This loaf is filled with nutrients and has pleanty of protein to keep you feeling strong!
It’s also a great holiday recipe to have around to cater to you and any other plant lovers out there!
